Everglades OffSHORE Fishing CHARTERS
Fish Offshore Of The Everglades For Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, And More.
Everglades National Park may be known for its inshore fishing, but venture offshore, and you’ll find a world of opportunity waiting beyond the mangrove shorelines. The waters off the Everglades provide some of the most untouched and productive offshore fishing in the Gulf, with fewer boats and unpressured fish creating an angler’s paradise. Departing from Everglades City or Chokoloskee, offshore anglers quickly find themselves in deep Gulf waters rich with structure—ledges, wrecks, and reefs that hold an abundance of prized species.
The seasons dictate the offshore fishing experience in the Everglades, with winter and spring bringing peak opportunities for gag grouper, while red grouper are available year-round in deeper waters. Snapper fishing peaks in the summer months when mangrove, lane, and American red snapper school up in large numbers over the reefs. Cobia, known for their unpredictable nature, pass through in spring and fall, offering thrilling battles and delicious rewards. The offshore waters here also hold an array of other species, including kingfish, permit, and even the occasional blackfin tuna, making each trip a true offshore adventure.
Fishing offshore from the Everglades is an immersive experience. The ride out through the backcountry, watching the mangroves fade into open water, is a reminder of the wild, untamed nature of this region. Out in the Gulf, the water stretches endlessly, the boat rocks gently with the waves, and the anticipation builds with every drop of the bait. Then, in an instant, the line tightens, the rod bends, and the fight is on—a battle between angler and fish that defines the offshore fishing experience. When the day ends, and the boat points back toward the setting sun over the Everglades, there’s a deep satisfaction in knowing you’ve fished some of the most remote and rewarding waters in Florida.
GROUPER
Grouper fishing in the offshore waters of SW Florida, is a test of both strength and strategy, drawing anglers from all over the world who seek the thrill of battling one of the Gulf's hardest-fighting and best eating fish.
SnAPPER
Unlike the brute force tactics required for grouper, snapper fishing is a game of finesse—light leaders, stealthy presentations, and just the right bait are necessary to fool these sharp-eyed fish.
COBIA
Cobia fishing in the offshore waters of Naples is a pursuit filled with excitement and unpredictability. Unlike grouper or snapper, which tend to hold tight to structure, cobia are wanderers, appearing when you least expect them
